Franklin T.E. Tomlinson ’41 died on January 6 in Vero Beach, Florida. Franklin had an outstanding World War II military record in the Air Corps.
Maurice Amos Warner Jr. ’41 of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away on March 8. At Dartmouth “Bo” was a member of Sigma Nu.
Felix Lilienthal ’41 died on March 5, 2012. A lifelong resident of New York City, he attended Columbia Grammar School before admission to Dartmouth, where he captained the speed skating team. He enlisted in the U.S.
Robert Clayton Rainie ’41, M.D., died on October 8, 2012. He received his medical training at Dartmouth (1942) and Boston University (1943).
Douglas Gilbert Atwood ’41, Tu’42, passed away in Atlanta on September 13, 2012, two days shy of his 93rd birthday. He died peacefully of natural causes.
Carl Cushing Krogh ’41, Tu’42, died on November 30, 2012. After college Carl joined the Navy, from which he was discharged in 1946 as a lieutenant.

William C. Mudgett ’41 died June 24, 2011, in Delray Beach, Florida. At Dartmouth Bill was ranked nationally in both tennis and golf. He served as captain in the U.S.
Burton Lincoln Wales Jr. ’41 died on September 20, 2011, in Northfield, Minnesota. At Dartmouth Linc served as crew and hut-master of the Mount Moosilauke Summit House in the White Mountains. He also helped manage the Dartmouth ski team.
William L. Clark ’41, M.D., of Corte Madera, California, died on July 7, 2011. He came to Dartmouth from Fresno, California. At Dartmouth Bill was a busy premed interested in swimming and photography.
Leon J. Cone ’41, M.Div., of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, died on July 16, 2011. “Lee” was born in Ironwood, Michigan. At Dartmouth he was a member of the Outing Club and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Maynard Hugh Riley ’41 died at home in Wilmette, Illinois, on September 24, 2011. “Bud” was born in Chicago and raised in Winnetka.
Stephen White Winship ’41 died October 14, 2011, at Havenwood in Concord, New Hampshire. Steve was born and raised in Concord and remained in New Hampshire throughout his life.

George Adam Simpson Jr. ’41 of Asheville, North Carolina, died on February 15. At Dartmouth George was active in outdoor organizations Cabin & Trail and Ledyard Canoe Club and was a Winter Carnival worker.
Edmund Angelo Tanzi ’41 of Dunnellon, Florida, died on May 11. “Ted” was a native of Hanover. At Dartmouth he was as a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa and the Canoe Club. During WW II he served as an officer in the U.S.

Willard Woodward Wilson ’41 died on July 3, 2010, at Peterborough Regional Health Center in Ontario, Canada.
William J. Aylward Jr. ’41 died in Lihue, Hawaii, on February 1. Born in 1918 in Fall River, Massachusetts, he graduated Dartmouth with a B.A., joining the Navy’s V-7 program while still in college.
Lee Edward Bye ’41 died on June 11, 2010. He was a resident of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. At Dartmouth he was a member of Aegis, the Dartmouth Forensic Union, the Interfraternity Council and Alpha Theta/Theta Chi.
Donald Holman Stillman ’41 died in Longwood, Florida, on October 29, 2010, after a long struggle with spinal stenosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

Ira Skutch ’41 died on March 17 after a courageous fight against lymphoma. Ira, who grew up in New York City, began his television career immediately after World War II when television had just begun.

John Horace Selby Sr. ’41, M.D., died on September 8, 2009, in Lubbock, Texas, after a courageous battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Jack was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and grew up in Boston.
John Wesley Kelley ’41 died September 30, 2009, in Sarasota, Flordia. At Dartmouth he played football and ice hockey, was a member of Green Key, Casque & Gauntlet and Psi Upsilon.
Thomas Vreeland Jardine ’41 died at home in Little Silver, New Jersey, on Sept.12, 2009. At Dartmouth Tom was a member of Chi Gamma Epsilon/Kappa Sigma.
John White ’41 died on January 1 at the Atrium in Agawam, Massachusetts. John was born in Buffalo, New York. At Dartmouth he was a member of the Marching Band, Barbary Coast and Heorot/Chi Phi and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Rowland Barnes French ’41, M.D., passed away July 31 at Calais (Maine) Hospital. He was the son of Dr. Harry and Florence (Austin) French. He was the 18th Rowland Barnes French, a name passed by tradition from uncle to nephew.
