John White ’41
John White ’41 died on January 1 at the Atrium in Agawam, Massachusetts. John was born in Buffalo, New York. At Dartmouth he was a member of the Marching Band, Barbary Coast and Heorot/Chi Phi and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from Tuck School in 1942 and then served in the U.S. Naval Reserve during WW II and the Korean War. During his career in pharmaceutical marketing John worked for IBM, Bristol Laboratories and several other firms. John was very active in Dartmouth affairs as an alumnus. He was reunion committee chair (1996, 2001), club secretary (1948-1949), club president (1949-52, 1955), leadership agent (2001-10), class agent (1991-2001), head agent (1991-2002), class treasurer (2004-05). Anne, his wife of 63 years, died in 2006. John is survived by his seven daughters, 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin sister, Jean, and his brother Robert.
