Constantinos “Deno” Mokas ’83 died December 11, 2024, after a period of declining health. Deno was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, on April 19, 1961, four months after his parents emigrated from Fourka, Greece.
Alan Baldwin King ’83 of Kalaheo, Hawaii, died peacefully on March 5 after a battle with lung cancer. Alan graduated from St. Edward’s School in Vero Beach, Florida.

Steven “Buck” Foote ’83 died June 4 following a two-year battle with cancer. The youngest of eight children, Steve was raised in Lansing, Michigan, and graduated from East Lansing High School.
Donald Scott Coombs ’83 died November 10, 2017, 10 days after a traffic accident, while living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At Dartmouth Scott was a Russian language and literature major and minored in computer science.
Joseph Anthony Crotty ’83 passed away on November 9, 2017, from complications from gastric cancer at home in Boise, Idaho, surrounded by his wife and four children.
Thomas Earl Rose ’83 passed away September 12, 2016. Tom was a resident of Wrentham, Massachusetts, at the time. He came to Dartmouth via King Phillip High School. At Dartmouth he was a member of Theta Delta Chi.
Justine Robinson Raphael ’83 died peacefully on November 2, 2014. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death in Port Angeles, Washington. Justine was born in New York City and lived there and in Miami as a child.

Mark Bandeen ’83 died on October 28, 2009, at his home in La Jolla, California. Son Bradford and daughter Blair ’12, Mark’s parents, Robert and Mona, his brothers and their families, and his ex-wife, Janice Gaynor Bandeen ’81, survive him.
