Lois Gadway Tow ’76 died January 25 of pancreatic cancer at her home in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bruce ’74.
Richard Maas ’76 , M.D., died August 15, 2025, in Boston following complications from an extended illness. At Dartmouth he earned an A.B. in chemistry and was active in Marching Band and track and field and cross country.
Edwin Stone Waters ’68 passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on January 9. Stone was born on November 4, 1946, to Edwin (class of 1930) and Marjorie Waters.
Craig Anthony Waters ’68 passed away on January 17 in Prescott Valley, Arizona, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Craig grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, where he attended St. John’s Prep.
Alfred S. Cavaretta Jr. ’66 died unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, in his hometown of Kent, Ohio. Raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, he graduated from Lexington High School in 1962.
Timothy Butterworth ’66 —teacher, carpenter, writer, woodsman, and N.H. state representative—died of complications related to Parkinson’s disease and congestive heart failure in his hometown of Keene, New Hampshire, on January 25.
Fred L. Offensend ’65 passed away in Portland, Oregon, October 17, 2025, from complications of advanced Parkinson’s and a cerebellar stroke. He came to Dartmouth from Rochester, New York.
Robert M. Cox Jr. ’65 died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest on December 28, 2025, while on vacation in Aspen, Colorado. Robb came to Dartmouth from McKeesport, Pennsylvania, via Mercersburg Academy.
Randall Reetz ’63 died December 12, 2025. He was born in rural Illinois near Barrington and attended Barrington High School, where he was active on the baseball, wrestling, and football teams.
