Randall Reetz ’63 died December 12, 2025. He was born in rural Illinois near Barrington and attended Barrington High School, where he was active on the baseball, wrestling, and football teams. Randy majored in English at Dartmouth and was a brother of Alpha Theta. He took a junior year in Wales at St. David’s, a small Anglican college, and immersed himself in a cloistered life, rugby, and traveling in Europe. After Dartmouth Randy received a J.D. at Stanford in 1966. He clerked at the Idaho and Colorado Supreme Courts in 1966 and 1967 before practicing law in Santa Barbara, California, from 1968 to 1989 with the firm Reetz & Fox. During that time, he also became a local landlord, noting that many of his tenants became his good friends, and was a member of the Mission Canyon planning advisory committee. His wife, Lin, who predeceased Randy in 2014, was a flight attendant for Pan Am and United. Before and after Randy’s retirement in 1989, she arranged many international trips. He is survived by Lin’s two daughters and two grandchildren.
