Philip Howard DeTurk ’54 passed away on June 4 in San Antonio, Texas. Phil came to Dartmouth from Garden City, New York, where he attended Garden City High School.

Ralph Gardner Griffin Jr. ’54 passed away on June 13 in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Ralph came to Dartmouth from Hamburg, New York, where he attended Hamburg High School.

Valentine Rock Grundman ’54 passed away on June 13 in San Antonio, Texas. At Dartmouth, Rock was an economics major, president of Bait & Bullet, and a member of the DOC.

Sargeant Eastman Joys ’54 passed away on February 26. Sarge came to Dartmouth from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended Whitefish Bay High School.

Bruce Bergquist ’55 passed away on March 30 in Olympia, Washington. He came to Dartmouth from Worchester (Massachusetts) Academy.

John H. Cogswell ’55 passed away on June 1 in Needham, Massachusetts. He is survived by daughters Julie and Catherine and grandchildren Jacob, Isaac, and Kiernan.

Earl Fain III ’55 died April 29 in Dallas. A native of Dallas, Earl came to Dartmouth from Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts.

John W. Fitzpatrick ’55 died December 22, 2017, in Cheshire, Connecticut. He came to Dartmouth from Hamden (Connecticut) High School and majored in geology.
