Edward J. Cooke ’73 died on February 24 in his sleep at home in The Villages, Florida. A native of Shoreham, Vermont, Ed came to Dartmouth from Deerfield Academy.
C. Peter Crowe Jr. ’51, M.D., died on January 8 in Tucson, Arizona, where he had lived for 55 years. He is survived by his wife, Franny, four children, seven grandchildren, and brother John ’54.
William Richard Stratton ’55 died February 27 in Santa Barbara, California. Will came to Dartmouth from Dwight Monroe High School in Englewood, New Jersey.
Christine Lucerne “Lucy” Vaughters ’74 from Edmonds, Washington, drowned in a swimming accident on January 18 while vacationing in Mexico. Lucy transferred to Dartmouth from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
Peter Robinson ’54 passed away in Trondheim, Norway, on March 25. Peter’s father, Robin Robinson, was a math professor at the College. At Dartmouth Peter was a geology major and president of the Mountaineering Club.
Paul A. Stumpf ’54 passed away on March 18 in Farmington, Connecticut. Paul came to Dartmouth from Avon, Connecticut. He graduated from Mount Hermon School. At Dartmouth he was an economics major and a brother of Alpha Theta.
Carl L. Glassberg ’51, Tu’52, died on February 28 in Clearwater, Florida. He was a senior accounting and finance consultant who volunteered his talents to his class as treasurer and longtime member of its executive committee.
Loren A. Jacobson ’60 of Santa Fe, New Mexico, died of cancer on December 26, 2018. Loren was born on August 20, 1938, in St. Peter, Minnesota, the son of Loraine Hansen and Arthur Jacobsen.
Charles Manning Kaufman ’60 died of a heart-related medical issue on January 13 in Boynton Beach, Florida.
