Arthur Winston Lewis ’66 passed away peacefully on January 10 in Wilmette, Illinois. Arthur was born July 1, 1926, in New York City. He left Dartmouth early to enlist in the Navy in 1943 and served for 23 years until 1966.
Robert Michael Pugh ’66 passed away on February 3 after a brief illness. Michael was surrounded in his final days by those he loved and who loved him, and passed with his sister, Susan, at his bedside.
James F. Tent ’66, historian and museum docent, died on June 25, 2018. He grew up in Glen Rock, New Jersey, and after Dartmouth earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1973.
Richard Kendall Wells ’66, Th’67, an early computer entrepreneur, died unexpectedly at his home in Manhattan on January 18, 2018. Dick was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and graduated from Lebanon (New Hampshire) High School.
Jeffrey Ross Hills ’67, Tu’71, of Charleston, West Virginia, died on March 2018. Jeff came to college from Winchester, Massachusetts, and St. Mark’s School, and was a brother of Phi Gamma Delta.
David William Sides ’67 of West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, died on March 5 following a long struggle with ALS. Dave came to college from Fairfield, Connecticut, majored in English, and was a brother of Phi Delta Psi.
Andrew Carson Harvard ’71 died peacefully on January 16 surrounded by family and friends after courageously fighting a decade-long battle with younger-age-onset Alzheimer’s.
