Jeffrey Ross Hills ’67, Tu’71

Jeffrey Ross Hills ’67, Tu’71, of Charleston, West Virginia, died on March 2018. Jeff came to college from Winchester, Massachusetts, and St. Mark’s School, and was a brother of Phi Gamma Delta. He withdrew from the College after his sophomore year to join the Marine Corps, returning to graduate in 1969 and earn his M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School in 1971. He then joined the Orvis Co. in Dorset, Vermont. Jeff and his wife, Marion, whom he married in 1969, started successful mail-order business Hill’s Court in Dorset. He later became a stockbroker until his retirement. Jeff and Marion lived an active life of fly-fishing, tennis, and golf in Vermont and on Harbour Island, Bahamas, until her passing in 2014. Jeff is survived by daughter Lucinda, son-in-law Ross, grandsons Will and John, brothers Andrew and Gerald, and companion Nina.
