Robert Owen Jones ’46 died peacefully in his sleep on July 7. He lived a life devoted to God, family, and country. Born in Boston in 1925, Bob grew up in Rockville Center on Long Island, New York.
John F. Morrissey, ’46 M.D. died June 14, 2011 at home in Bend, Oregon. After graduating from Harvard Medical School in 1949 John served in the Korean War as a battalion surgeon.

W. Scribner Jelliffe ’46 died on September 20, 2010, peacefully in his Hanover home, surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Dartmouth.
William Warren Howell ’46 died peacefully on July 18, 2009. He was a resident of Winnetka, Illinois, for more than 50 years. He was the vice president of the Harris Bank in Chicago. He served in U.S. Navy, WW II.
Jack Arthur Weaver ’46 died August 6, 2009, of natural causes at his home in Greensboro, North Carolina. Jack served his country as a Navy officer in both WW II and the Korean War.
David Cheever Weld ’46 of Roseland, New Jersey, died September 9, 2009, at home. Dave’s father was a class of 1912. He came to Dartmouth from the Choate School in Wallingford, Connecticut.
