Thomas M. Hughson ’55 died on February 26 in Oneonta, New York. He is survived by his wife, Susan, and sons Frederick and William.

James L. Magavern ’55 passed away on March 7 in Buffalo, New York. He is survived by children David, Margaret, Samuel, and William. Buffalo was home to “Kim” his entire life.

F. Scott Corey ’57 died of heart failure on March 3. Scott graduated from Towson (Maryland) High School.

Joseph D. Kyle ’57 died February 25 in hospice care. Joe graduated from Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati. At Dartmouth he majored in English and was a member of Sigma Nu.

Otto F. Stock Jr. ’57 passed away in Centerville, Ohio, on December 1, 2021. Otto came to Dartmouth from Upper Arlington (Ohio) High School.

James C. Tankersley ’57 passed away peacefully on January 18, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Jim graduated from Central High School in South Bend, Indiana.

Donald W. Aitken Jr. ’58 passed away on February 27 at his Mexico home. Don was a member of Gamma Delta, ski patroller, and played in the Marching Band.

Richard M. Ballinger ’58 passed away on June 25, 2021. Richard grew up in New York, studied economics and art history, and participated in the Yacht Club and Young Republicans.

July-August 2022

David Bathrick ’58 passed away on April 30, 2020. Dave grew up in Darien, Connecticut, majored in history, played football and rugby, and was a member of Beta and Sphinx.

Joseph B. Blake ’58 died in Denver on February 15.
