David E. Duffy ’57 died peacefully on May 26 in North Fort Myers, Florida, where he resided for the past 32 years.

James R. Samartini ’57 passed away peacefully at his home on May 15. Jim came to Dartmouth from Shaker Heights (Ohio) High School.

Charles A. Schneider Jr. ’57 died on April 27 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Charlie graduated from Scarsdale (New York) High School.

Edward D. Waldron IV ’57 passed away on May 10. Ed came to Dartmouth from Wellesley (Massachusetts) High School. He majored in history and was in Theta Delta Chi.

Peter B. Flowers ’58, M.D.,passed away on April 22. Pete was a zoology major and a Phi Delt, rowed freshman crew, and was active in the DOC.

Frank Gado ’58, Ph.D., died on June 8 in West Hartford, Vermont, after a long struggle with brain cancer.

Alan B. Gazzaniga ’58, M.D.,passed away on June 17 at his home in Orange County, California.

Peter E. Kenny ’58, Tu’59, died in December 2021. Pete grew up in Kentucky and spent most of his adult life in southern California.

William Carlton LaFleur ’58 died April 5 in Westerly, Rhode Island. Carl was a philosophy major and active in Newman Club and the Dartmouth Players.
