James R. Wylie III ’51, described by family and friends as an “adventurer, bush pilot, poet, geologist, farmer, and storyteller,” died on August 18 at his home in Meridian, Idaho.

John Philip Brower ’52, a resident of the Whittier Manor of Jacaranda Trace in Venice, Florida, passed away on July 23. He was born in Cincinnati on December 30, 1930.

Andrew Hayden Jackson ’52 died on June 15 in Laramie, Wyoming. He was born in Chicago on November 18, 1930, the son of Otis G. Jackson and Arline M. Jackson.

Victor Rudolf Trautwein Jr. ’52 of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, passed away on June 26 in Hartford, Connecticut, after a brief illness. Vic was born September 28, 1930, in Chicago.

Howard Cooper Van Valzah ’52 of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on June 21. He was the loving husband of Mildred “Milly” for 62 years.

Theodore James Adams ’54 passed away on June 30 in Arizona. Jim came to Dartmouth from Denver, where he attended East High School.

Lee Stout Harris III ’54 passed away on July 17 in West Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Lee came to Dartmouth from Philadelphia, where he attended William Penn Charter School.

William Thomas Robbins Sr. ’54 died on August 3 in Sarasota, Florida. Bill came to Dartmouth from Shaker Heights, Ohio, where he attended the University School.
