William Thomas Robbins Sr. ’54

William Thomas Robbins Sr. ’54 died on August 3 in Sarasota, Florida. Bill came to Dartmouth from Shaker Heights, Ohio, where he attended the University School. At Dartmouth he was a government major and a brother of Phi Kappa Psi. Bill was a member of Green Key and Dartmouth Outing Club and served as business manager of WDBS. After graduation Bill attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving his M.B.A. in 1956. In 1960 he joined Kidder, Peabody & Co. in New York City until 1975, when he joined Advest Inc., a regional brokerage and investment house in Hartford, Connecticut, where he served as a managing director. In 1992 he became a corporate finance partner at Easton Associates in Greenwich, Connecticut, until he retired in 2000, moving to Sarasota. His wife, Meredith, son Nicholas, and daughter Hilary survive Bill.
