I’m writing this Class Notes column during one of the most torrid heat waves in recorded European history. Here in Venice, the temperatures have been soaring in the high 90 degrees.

I was so pleased to receive a note from my old friend Roland Walker. Roland and I met freshman year and were part of a North Topliff group of seven ’72s who lived on the first floor.

Welcome to the new Class Notes 1974. I’d like to thank Rick Sample for his many years of excellent service.

Your class secretary has slowly emerged from the whirlwind that was our reunion. There were so many familiar faces and stories to catch up on, I am sure that I missed writing about some of you.
