Howard Cooper Van Valzah ’52 of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on June 21. He was the loving husband of Mildred “Milly” for 62 years.

Theodore James Adams ’54 passed away on June 30 in Arizona. Jim came to Dartmouth from Denver, where he attended East High School.

Lee Stout Harris III ’54 passed away on July 17 in West Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Lee came to Dartmouth from Philadelphia, where he attended William Penn Charter School.

William Thomas Robbins Sr. ’54 died on August 3 in Sarasota, Florida. Bill came to Dartmouth from Shaker Heights, Ohio, where he attended the University School.

Walter Tumeniuk ’54 passed away on September 15, 2018, at the Ocean Medical Center in Lakewood, New Jersey. Walt was born in Kiev, Ukraine. He was a veteran of the U.S.

Frank Daigh Van Aalst ’54 passed away on January 21 in West Bengal, India. He came to Dartmouth from Beaverton, Oregon, where he attended Stadium High School.

William Hamilton Walls ’54 passed away on July 11 in New Jersey. Bill came to Dartmouth from Atlantic City (New Jersey) High School.

Robert Earl Cleveland II ’55 died June 6 in Cary, North Carolina. From Marine Corps officer to Presbyterian minister, Bob had a career filled with service to others.

David M. Corderman ’55 passed away on July 3 in Southbury, Connecticut. He spent only one year in Hanover, but had a strong attachment to Dartmouth.

Martin B. Friedman ’55, Ph.D., died at home in Berkeley, California, on April 1 surrounded by children Edith, Max, and Elizabeth. His wife predeceased him.
