Bob Silverman with Barbara Berlin and Mike and Jeanne Prince plan the 13th Florida mini-reunion March or April in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Last March’s reunion included Alan and Shelly Palmer, Roy and Betty Benson, Ed and Charlene Mazer, and Bill and Carol Hindle. Tom and Betsy Coghlin and Bud and Marcia Weinstein could not attend due to conflicts. “We missed regulars Howard and Janet Nannen because of illness and Ralph and Nancy Sanders, John and Missy Lehigh, and Bill and Petie Subin because of deaths of Ralph, John, and Petie,” said Bob. To register, email robertsilverman220@comcast.net, (404) 520-1102.

October’s Psi U reunion, organized by Chris and Anne Weidenmayer and Charlie and Claire Logan featured a tour of Chickamauga Battlefield, historic Civil War site in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and included Sam and Deamie Cabot, George “Sully” and Mary Sullivan, David and Michele Halsted, Pete Suttmeier, and Althea Hicks, widow of John Hicks. Sam and Deamie headed to Cork, Ireland, to visit a campus of Endicott College, headquartered in Beverly, Massachusetts, where Sam serves on the board. Incidentally, Pete Suttmeier, trustee chairman of North Country Community College, Saranac Lake, New York, lives in Keene Valley, New York, not Keene, New Hampshire, as reported.

Homecoming, November 1-3, sadly missed Diana Lewinstein, spouse of Steve Lewinstein and mother of Marc Lewinstein ’98. Diana passed away September 14 after a brave but mercifully brief struggle against ALS. Coverage of Homecoming in the next issue.

Remains of Andrew “Sandy” Irvine, who perished in his 1924 climb on Mount Everest, were found by a National Geographic team in September, according to one-time climber, now Everest scholar, Tom Holzel. Charlie Parton spotlighted a unique way of giving offered by Dartmouth. He and Trudy established a two-life charitable gift annuity, which provides excellent returns and bequests balance to Dartmouth upon the passing of both annuity owners. We regret the passing of David Benson, Freeman Botnick, Gene Kersey, John L. Steele, Rick Braddock, Steve Jacobson, and Tom Richards. See obituaries by Tige Harris in the online DAM.
