By the time that you read this article, the class of ’61 will have done its share to assist in the alumni celebration of Dartmouth’s 250-year anniversary, certainly a worthy milestone in and of itself, with an event unique among the other Ivy Leag

How are we doing? Several classmates have asked that question, so we did a little digging and this issue’s report is an update on the class of 1952. Actually, we’re doing pretty well. The numbers aren’t 100-percent accurate, but they’re close.

Sam Katz, who is still collecting honorariums, was selected as one of the “25 Most Influential Alumni” in the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine’s 250th anniversary issue that led off with Daniel Webster.

One of my references for this column is a rapidly decaying copy of the 1965 Green Book—cover flaking, pages sticking, classmates looking oh so young.

Which Dartmouth classmate influenced you the most (either during our years at Dartmouth, or in the years since we graduated)?

So I got my dates a little messed up as I had thought I had already written my last Class Notes before reunion.

Many of us were just in Hanover!

Responses continue to pour in for our Southwest “major mini-reunion” led by Jim Beattie in incredible Santa Fe, New Mexico, the weekend of September 6-8. Jim reports that many plan to come early, stay late, or both.
