May - June 2011

As I write this we are nearing the end of what has been an unusual winter in many parts of the country; here in northern New Jersey the ground is covered with more snow than is typical.

Jim Friedlich and Rob Portman, who met as ’shmen in Butterfield Hall, got together for breakfast in New York City in December.

As you read this column the class of 2015 has been admitted and I’m sure many of you are excited that your child will be attending Dartmouth! I can’t lie and say I miss the drama and nervousness of waiting for that envelope.

Well if no news is good news, then I can report our class is doing very well since I have no news from classmates to report.

Hail, noble ’72s, far and wide!


Winter is loosening its icy grip on the Hanover Plain as your humble scribe sends best wishes to all!


Greetings, fellow ’70s. It being a slow news period I decided, like any good journalist, to go on the road. Don’t worry, no class funds (if we have any) were spent on my behalf.

In February we all received a most informative letter from our representative to the Alumni Council Paul Tuhus. He described the recent meeting and much of the workings of the council as it deals with College issues.
