Glenn M. Glesmann ’71, M.D., died from a brief illness surrounded by his family on February 16. He was born in New York City on September 17, 1949, the son of Sylvia, who survives, and the late John B. Glesmann.
Bruce Sheridan Scolton ’71,a distinguished attorney, an excellent athlete, and devoted family man, passed away on April 24, 2019, in Panama, New York, due to an undiagnosed genetic disease.

Charles W. Collier ’71 died on August 2. He graduated from Phillips Andover in 1967, studied religion at Dartmouth, and earned a master’s in theological studies from Harvard Divinity School in 1973.
Daniel A. Westberg ’71,D.Phil., died on October 18, 2017, in a boating accident in Upper Nashotah Lake, Wisconsin. Daniel grew up in Japan, where his parents were missionaries with the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Robert Uhlmann ’71 passed away on October 23, 2017. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 20, 1949, he was the youngest of three children. He enjoyed an idyllic childhood in Kansas City where he attended Pembroke Hill.
C. Luke O’Reilly ’71 died of cancer on June 21, 2017, in Los Angeles. Luke was a gifted athlete. He started alpine skiing at an early age and later became a champion water skier.
Cameron E. Bopp ’71 died on December 20, 2016, in Freeman, Maine, in a car accident. Cam received a medical degree from the University of Missouri and completed his family medicine residency in Augusta, Maine.
John Edward Shanahan ’71 passed away quietly on April 24, 2017, at his home in Deland, Florida, after fighting idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for months.
