Charles Ira Karchmer ’68 passed away at home in New York City on April 3. He came to Dartmouth from Woodbridge, New York. A drama major, he was active in Dartmouth Players, band, WDCR, and Casque & Gauntlet.
Roy H. Landy ’68 died in January 2021, the College recently learned from his sister, Laurie. Roy came to Dartmouth from Sewanka High in Elmont, New York.
William Harry Rapf ’68 died April 3 of pancreatic cancer. Born August 17, 1946, in Los Angeles to Maurice and Louise (Seidel) Rapf, Bill came to Dartmouth from Riverdale Country School in New York City.
Stephen C. “Monk” Williams ’68 died on April 8, 2021, at a long-term care facility in Manchester, New Hampshire, of multiple sclerosis, which he faced for 44 years with courage, an indomitable spirit, and playful sense of humor.
Richard Nields Warnock ’68 died September 29, 2021, in Exeter, New Hampshire. Born July 16, 1946, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, to G. Harold Warnock and Rosemary Kipe Thompson, Dick came to Dartmouth from Conestoga High School.
Richard Marvin Lannen ’68 died May 1 wearing his Texas Rangers jersey. Born to Dick and Rosalie Lannen, Rick lived throughout the West. He came to Dartmouth from Fergus High School in Lewistown, Montana.
Richard D. Toothman ’68 died at his home in Boise, Idaho, on June 9. The son of Davis and Loreen Toothman, Rick graduated from Boise High School, where he was student body vice president and valedictorian.
Charles Sterling Lenth ’68 of Boulder, Colorado, passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 12, 2020, surrounded by family. Charlie arrived at Dartmouth from Minneapolis, having played high school football and hockey.
