William Hammer Munich ’71

William Hammer Munich ’71 died on March 17, 2024. He was born January 26, 1949, in Chesterfield, Ohio, to German-born parents William and Anna Munich. The family included Bill’s older brother Walter and sister Carol. Bill graduated from West Geauga High School in Chesterfield, where he was captain of the football and wrestling teams and ran on the track team. On November 29, 1970, he married Jacquelyn Kay Moore of Chesterfield, then graduated from Dartmouth, where he participated in football, rugby, skiing, and wrestling. Bill was president of Cranston Steel Structures in Woodland, California, a steel industrial building business, and the family lived in El Macero, California. Bill was predeceased by his parents, brother Walter, and nephew Keith. He is survived by wife Marcia, son William, sister Carol, and nephew Gary.
