William F. Weber III ’63

William F. Weber III ’63 died of progressive supranuclear palsy in Chevy Chase, Maryland, on September 26, 2023. He was a fourth-generation Washingtonian and resided in D.C. and Bethesda, Maryland, during his childhood and attended the Landon School, where he earned varsity letters in track, football, and soccer and was class vice president in his senior year. At Dartmouth Bill majored in history, played soccer, and was a brother in Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He was an admissions interviewer for many years. After Dartmouth he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was on active duty until 1966. He returned home to assist his father in operating Weber’s White Trucks, a truck dealership, where he had a long successful career as a dealer and owner. The company earned honors under his leadership as the highest volume sales leader in the United States in 1979. He and his family lived in Maryland for many years before moving to Naples, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karin; two children; and six grandchildren.
