William Carl Kofoed ’55

William Carl Kofoed ’55 died December 5, 2018, in Fort Pierce, Florida. Bill came to Dartmouth from Edison High School in Miami. He majored in English and wrote for The Dartmouth. He was a member of the Dartmouth Christian Union and Phi Sigma Kappa. Bill started his career with the Miami Herald. He then opened Bill Kofoed Inc., a public relations firm representing the travel industry. Through the years Bill was an active volunteer for the Alumni Fund. He was a regional agent and member of the class reunion giving committee. Bill is survived by his wife, Joann, and daughters Susan, Melanie, and Ashira. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, and sons Elliott ’73 and Wayne.
