William B. Macurdy ’55

William B. Macurdy ’55 passed away on August 18, 2021, in Falmouth, Massachusetts. He is survived by his daughter, Anne, and his son, John. Bill came from Watertown, Massachusetts. He majored in engineering and earned an M.S. in electrical engineering from Thayer School and from New York University. He then completed a Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1963. Bill spent his entire career with AT&T, starting as an engineer with Bell Laboratories and retiring as a vice president in 1988.
