Walter G. Van Dorn ’55

Walter G. Van Dorn ’55 died on February 1 in Boston. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons Walter Jr., Gerald, Peter, and William; and four grandchildren. Born in Orange, New Jersey, Walter came to Dartmouth from Columbia High School. He majored in economics and was a member of Gamma Delta Chi. A graduate of Harvard Law School in 1960, Walter built a diverse tax practice with mastery of federal and state income taxation. He was active in the Massachusetts Bar Association and lectured at the Boston University School of Law.
