Thomas S. Wallace ’57

Thomas S. Wallace ’57 died on January 10. Tom came to Dartmouth from Thornton Township High School in Harvey, a suburb of Chicago. He was an economics major. Tom was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Casque & Gauntlet. He was a four-year member of the Air Force ROTC. Tom earned his certified public accountant license and worked for Ernst & Young in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1991 he retired as a partner. In 2000 he returned to his hometown, saying he “missed those cold Chicago winters.” Tom and his wife, Martha, purchased a condominium in the “Gold Coast” section, with Lake Michigan and the “Magnificent Mile” nearby. He continued to serve a handful of individual clients in his practice as a certified financial planner. He is survived by Martha and daughters Brenda and Laura.
