Stephen F. White ’71

Stephen F. White ’71 of San Antonio, Texas, died on February 25, 2014, the College has recently learned. He was born in Troy, New York, and raised in Reading, Massachusetts. Steve came to Dartmouth from Reading High School. After graduating from Dartmouth he enlisted in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of captain. After the Army he began law school in 1977 at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He graduated and passed the bar exam in 1980. Stephen enjoyed an illustrious legal career that spanned more than three decades. He was board certified in personal injury trial law and an advocate with the American Board of Trial Advocates. He left his wife, Elena, and her son, Filip; daughter Kimberly and her husband, Martin; daughter Jennifer and her husband, Heath; son Robert; siblings Susan, Robert, Tom, Mark, Jonathan, Timothy, and Margaret; mother Nancy; stepfather Larry; stepmother Patricia; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
