Stanley Klippi ’54

Stanley Klippi ’54 of Banning, California, passed away on January 18. He came to Dartmouth from East Denver High School. At Dartmouth he earned his A.B. and was active as a member of Psi Epsilon and Casque & Gauntlet, Air Force ROTC, and the basketball and baseball teams. He went on to earn a degree at Tuck in 1955. Stan entered the Air Force and was stationed in Hawaii. He met his fun-loving future wife, Judy, at a party and they were married in 1963. They raised their children in Texas, where their early years were filled with parades, dad jokes, Southern cooking, swim meets, and summer vacations, often in the family station wagon. A born leader and man of integrity, Stan’s work in sales took the family throughout Texas to Sacramento, California, with Stan and Judy ultimately retiring in Riverside County. Any club or civic engagement he participated in usually culminated in a leadership role. In his later years, he was a skilled golfer. He was a presence at his children’s many sporting events and enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, golf, and football. He is survived by Judy and children Elizabeth, Kathryn, and Susan.
