Samantha Knowles ’12 shines the spotlight on a Harlem-based figure skating program for girls of color in a five-part docuseries on Disney+ called Harlem Ice. Earlier this year, Knowles talked about the uplifting series on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Good Morning America.

Nothing But Net

The Grousbeck family has agreed to sell the Celtics to an investment group led by lifelong fan William Chisholm at a record-breaking valuation of $6.1 billion. The Massachusetts native is managing director and chief investment officer of Symphony Technology Group, a private equity firm he helped found in 2002.

Wilburn Durousseau ’58

Top Doc

Dr. Durousseau was recognized by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for 59 years of professional influence and personal integrity in the medical profession, including delivering an estimated 10,000 babies. Supervisor Janice Hahn thanked him for his commitment to his patients at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, which offers access to maternity care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

Hydration Nation

The idea for a specialty water bottle originated in the Big Green locker room. Football players Waggoner and Gay then took their concept into the boardroom and launched Cirkul. The rapidly expanding company aired a 30-second spot during Super Bowl LIX.
