Britton, beloved for her portrayal of Tammi Taylor on Friday Night Lights, plays mom again in two new feature films out this month: Here After and Winner. 

“I love playing mom roles and finding the individuality in each one. Society has so many generalizations about moms and who moms are. For me, to play so many unique moms and show how completely individual they are feels like a great privilege,” Britton told Texas Monthly in an interview about Winner, which is already receiving positive reviews. 

She also took the stage at the Emmy Awards on September 16 for a segment about television moms.
