Seen & Heard

A selection of must reads about Dartmouth alumni making news around the world.
Fiona Co Chan ’13

Shark Bait

Chan appeared on the ABC reality show “Shark Tank” seeking an investment in her beauty company Youthforia, which she launched in 2021. Before walking away with a $400,000 deal from Mark Cuban, Chan impressed the whole suite of sharks with her negotiation skills. “Kevin, you have to get up and leave the ‘Shark Tank,’” Robert Herjavec said to Kevin O’Leary, teasing: “Fiona’s taking your chair.”

In an interview with DAM last year, Chan said, “Youthforia is what I wish I had in college,” because the products all contain good-for-your-skin ingredients so you can fall asleep wearing them without guilt.
