Norman Rockwell’s Cubs

Former governor makes a major gift.

The only painting that the iconic Normal Rockwell ever made of the Chicago Cubs now hangs in the Art Institute of Chicago thanks to Bruce Rauner and his wife Diana. The couple had owned “The Dugout” for decades before deciding to give it to the museum for public viewing. The painting depicts the dejected Cubs bench as the hometown Boston crowd cheers behind them.
