Scott Stuart Davidoff ’82

Scott Stuart Davidoff ’82 died on June 19, 2017, at the Albany (New York) Medical Center. Scott grew up in Albany and attended the Albany Academy prior to his admission to Dartmouth. Scott’s father, Donald, was a member of the Dartmouth class of 1956 and his brother, Jeffrey, is a Dartmouth ’85. At Dartmouth Scott was a member of Tabard/Sigma Chi. Scott attended Boston University School of Law, graduating in 1985. For many years he practiced law in the Albany area. Classmate Winky Stearns Hussey wrote, “I met Scotty on my freshman trip to the Grant. We bonded over loving Bruce Springsteen and the Mets. Years later I got a joyous call from Shea Stadium saying, ‘These Mets are great!’ His fellow poker players in the Choates loved it one day freshman year when his girlfriend called and I was put in charge of his cards.” Classmate Jonathan Baker added, “I have very fond memories of Scott. We were roommates at Boston University School of Law from 1982 to 1984. I remember his keen wit, sense of humor and intelligence. I recall many hours spent playing cribbage and shooting the breeze and several heated waffle ball games in the backyard of my parents’ house.” Scott is survived by his mother, Joanne, brother Jeffrey, ex-wife Michelle and a son and daughter. Those wishing to remember Scott may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road, Albany, NY 12208, or a charity of their choice.
