Ronald Irving Slade ’79

Ronald Irving Slade ’79, a resident of Andover, Massachusetts, passed away on July 30, 2011, after a protracted battle with liver disease. Ron was a psychology major at Dartmouth; member of the gymnastics team, Kappa Sigma and the Nathan Smith Society; and participant in the language study abroad German program. His brother David ’77 also attended Dartmouth. Ron worked for many years in the environmental health and safety department at Boston University. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail, and his two young children Rachel and Elliott. As reported in the August 11, 2011, edition of the North Andover Eagle Tribune, “Ron loved spending time with his family at Jolly Island on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and attending the Boston Church of Christ.” The class of 1979 is deeply saddened, and extends its heartfelt condolences to Ron’s extended family and friends.
