Robert A. Perkins ’55

Robert A. Perkins ’55 passed away on September 17, 2018, in St. Michaels, Maryland. Bob came to Dartmouth from Bay Village, Ohio. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Dartmouth Outing Club, Cabin & Trail, and Undergraduate Council. He was also director of Winter Carnival. He earned an M.B.A. from Wharton School of Business in 1957. After a brief time with Ford, Bob joined Chrysler’s international division and was posted in London, Geneva, Adelaide, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo. He ended his 35-year career in the auto industry as Chrysler’s executive vice president for government relations in Washington, D.C. Bob’s many alumni activities included class agent, Alumni Fund volunteer, admissions interviewer and class secretary. He was also president of regional clubs. Bob is survived by his wife, Kay, daughters Debbie and Kim, and stepsons Michael, Carter, and Court. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jane.
