Robert M. Wool ’55
Robert M. Wool ’55 passed away on July 3 in New York City. He is survived by daughters Vanessa and Zoe and his former wife, Bridget. Bob came to Dartmouth from Brookline, Massachusetts. He majored in philosophy and was a member of Sigma Chi and Casque & Gauntlet. He was editor of The Dart and wrote for the Jack-O-Lantern and The Daily Dartmouth. After starting his career with Look magazine, Bob became the founding editor of Show Magazine. He also served as editor-in-chief of The Washington Post Magazine, and political editor of The New York Times Magazine. Bob wrote 15 books, including the novel A Ceremony of Innocence, which was nominated for the National Book Award.
