Robert G. Lasko Jr. ’82

Robert G. Lasko Jr. ’82 of North Branford, Connecticut, passed away August 6, 2019, at his home. At Dartmouth Rob majored in art and played football. Fellow football player Tim Geibel ’82 describes Rob as a humble, friendly, and all-around nice guy: “His quiet persistence and positivity left a lasting impression on me. As the years went on and our paths crossed less frequently, Rob was always happy to say hi, ask how things were going, and take time to make sure our chats, however short, were sincere and pleasant.” Other classmates say Rob was a warm, funny, and gentle soul who was also free-spirited and quirky. Sneaking a dog into his freshman dorm, Topliff, is a good example of Rob’s independent and out-of-the box thinking. At Dartmouth Rob was known for his artistic abilities and craftsmanship. He built a high-quality coffee table for the dorm room of Paul Habegger ’82 that he held on to for many years. Rob carried these talents forward into his career, owning and operating North American Foundations in North Branford for more than 30 years. Such was his skill that Rob was known across Connecticut for his ability to pour complicated foundations. Rob is survived by his wife, Mary; sons Robert, Joseph, and John; sister Martha; and granddaughter Tessa.
