Richard B. Osgood ’57

Richard B. Osgood ’57 of Hamilton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2014, the College recently learned. Dick was a graduate of Governors Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts. At Dartmouth he majored in economics, received his bachelor’s with the class of 1958, and graduated with an M.B.A. from Tuck School in 1959 on the 3/2 program. He was a member of Psi Upsilon and was active with The Dartmouth. Dick worked tirelessly as treasurer, member of the finance committee, and trustee of Salem Hospital and as a trustee of the Boys and Girls Club of Boston. He also spent many hours as a volunteer at the Accord Food Pantry in Beverly, Massachusetts. He was an avid golfer at the Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, and enjoyed playing squash at the Union Boat Club in Boston. Dick is survived by children Alexandra and William, several grandchildren, former spouses Michelle and Audrie, and siblings Alison and Peter and their families.
