Raymond C. Lindquist ’51

Raymond C. Lindquist ’51, one of the most talented infielders in Dartmouth baseball history, died on January 18. He had lived for many years in Fort Myers, Florida. Ray was selected in the Major League Baseball draft following graduation and spent several years in the minor leagues. Parke Sickler ’51, captain of Dartmouth’s baseball team in 1951, recalls him as a “skilled shortstop, a productive hitter and a marvelous teammate; the leading talent on our team during his years in Hanover.” At Dartmouth Ray was a member of Sigma Nu and Sphinx senior society.
