Peter R. Akley ’65

Peter R. Akley ’65 passed away on May 1 in Pascagoula, Mississippi, of complications from Covid-19. Peter came to Dartmouth from Lyndonville (Vermont) Academy in Lyndonville. He and Dave Beattie ’65 roomed together for two years in North Wigwam. A philosophy major, Peter was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa, played freshman football, belonged to the DOC, and was on the ski team all four years. He had most recently been a resident of Escatawpa, Mississippi. He is survived by daughter Tonya and sister Jeanne and her husband, Arthur.
