Peter F. Stevenson ’63

Peter F. Stevenson ’63 died May 30 in Danvers, Massachusetts. He lived in Rockport, Massachusetts. Peter was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, and grew up in Reading, Massachusetts. He majored in government at Dartmouth and was very active in the crew program, a sport that he loved and participated in throughout his life. He was a brother of Sigma Nu. After Dartmouth Peter attended the College d’Europe in Bruges, Belgium, and the University of Grenoble in France. He eventually settled in New York and embarked on a banking career with Chase Manhattan Bank. For the next 30-plus years Peter worked in international banking in Japan, New York, Korea, Saudi Arabia, England and Bahrain with Chase, Bankers Trust and the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait. In addition to traveling and working abroad, Peter loved the outdoors and had a keen interest in genealogy. He was an active member of the Mayflower Society. Peter is survived by his wife, Nadia, daughters Joanna and Julia and six grandchildren. Contributions may be made to Rockport Music, P.O. Box 312, Rockport, MA 01966.
