Paul H. Hollenbeck ’55

Paul H. Hollenbeck ’55, known as “Tall Paul” because of his 6-foot-5 height, passed away February 11 in North Andover, Massachusetts. Paul came to Dartmouth from Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut. At Dartmouth he majored in history and was a member of Kappa Sigma. After graduation Paul completed his two-year service requirement with the U.S. Army in Germany. He then began a successful career in New York City as a marketing executive in the plastics industry. He developed expertise in plastic film for displaying grocery products. Paul retired as vice president of planning for Webster Industries and moved to North Andover, where he enjoyed an active retirement, working out at the Andover YMCA and reading history books from the Memorial Hall Library. He is survived by Cynthia, his wife of 62 years, and children Claire, Mary, and Thomas.
