Paul Cushing Faxon ’59

Paul Cushing Faxon ’59 died on August 2, 2014. He entered Dartmouth from Kingswood Academy in West Hartford, Connecticut, and majored in art. Although “Cush” graduated in 1960 following service in the U.S. Army, he preferred to be affiliated with the class of 1959, with which he matriculated. He served for many years as a sales and marketing executive with EG&G Rotron in Woodstock, New York. He was an avid collector of antiques, known particularly for his collection of antique clocks, and also enjoyed bird-watching, boating and fishing, particularly during summers with his family on Lake Champlain. Following retirement he and his wife of more than 50 years, Carol, moved from Kingston, New York, to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Besides Carol, he leaves sons Christopher and Jeffrey and two grandchildren.
