Robert W. Campbell ’57 died on June 4, 2025, in Danville, California. Bob came to Dartmouth from Rochester (Minnesota) High School. He majored in chemistry and was a member of Gamma Delta Chi, Green Key, the Marching Band (manager), and the Press Club. After graduation, he earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Minnesota. He began work with Chevron in San Francisco as a research chemist and continued with the company for a long career. At one point he was project manager for Chevron Chemical Co., working to establish a joint venture company in Saudi Arabia for using sulfur-asphalt mixtures in paving. Bob continued to enjoy tennis, photography, and sailing his Islander 28 on San Francisco Bay. He is survived by his wife, Janet; and daughters Anne and Kate ’83.
