Francisco Garcia Romero ’54

Francisco Garcia Romero ’54 passed away on December 27, 2018, in Venezuela. “Paco” came to Dartmouth from Maracaibo, Venezuela. He graduated from Sanford Preparatory School. At Dartmouth he was an economics major, a member of the Spanish Club and a brother of Delta Upsilon. After graduation Paco returned to Venezuela, where he operated a cattle ranch and raised Brahmin bulls. He was successful in breeding bulls that could thrive in Venezuela’s hot weather. He had recently seriously injured himself falling off a horse; while making a good recovery, he sustained a fatal heart attack. Paco is survived by his wife, Ada, and children Bernardo, Janette, Leopold, Roxana, and Yvonne.
