C. Raymond Durkee ’55

C. Raymond Durkee ’55 passed away on September 24, 2018, in Neenah, Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and daughters Jane, June, and Nancy. Ray grew up in Peabody, Massachusetts, and came to Dartmouth from Peabody High School. He majored in history, played varsity baseball, and was a member of Alpha Theta. He joined Kimberly-Clark in 1955 and stayed with the company for 38 years as an executive in management and research. In retirement Ray devoted much of his time to community service. He enjoyed a 20-year relationship with a local hospital, a health maintenance organization, and an assisted living center. He received many honors for his service, including the Fox Valley Health Care Volunteer Award and the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Rotary Foundation.
