Winnie W. Huang ’92

Winnie W. Huang ’92 passed away on April 24 in Pasadena, California, of natural causes. Her enthusiastic and selfless leadership within the Dartmouth community, plus countless other generous works, will not be forgotten. Winnie came to Dartmouth from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland. At the College she majored in government and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was also active in the Big Brother/Big Sister organization and was an undergraduate advisor in Butterfield. After Dartmouth she traveled the world working for Procter & Gamble, Bayer, Warner-Lambert, Pfizer, IMG, and Lee Kum Kee. Winnie was an Army ROTC cadet at Dartmouth; she was later instrumental in launching Dartmouth Uniformed Service Alumni (DUSA) in 2013. She initially chaired the selection committee of the James Wright Award for Distinguished Service, later serving as DUSA president until March 2018. Winnie was named 2016 Metro Club President of the Year for her outstanding work with the Dartmouth Club of Los Angeles. She was a dedicated admissions interviewer, mentor to many Dartmouth students and alumni, and a big supporter of Dartmouth football. She served on many for-profit and nonprofit boards focusing on healthcare, disadvantaged children, and veterans. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winnie W.
