Edward Donn McHugh ’54

Edward Donn McHugh ’54 passed away on August 10 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Edward attended Williston Academy. At Dartmouth he was a chemistry-zoology major. He graduated from Georgetown Medical School in 1958 and between 1958 and 1963 completed his internship and surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Edward then served in the U.S. Air Force between 1963 and 1965 in Newfoundland. After serving a surgical fellowship in New York City, he started his private medical practice, working at Holyoke Hospital and Providence Hospital, where he was chief of surgery and chief of staff. His wife, Janice, and sons Edward, Bruce, and Michael survive him.
