Leland Francis Powers Jr. ’67

Leland Francis Powers Jr. ’67 of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, died on August 17, 2016. Leland came to college from Wellesley, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife, Carol; brother-in-law Charles and nephews Adam and Jared; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ellen and Robert; Carol’s sons Alex, Michael, and James and their families. A retired editor of the Journal of Infectious Disease and Hospital Practice, Lee was known for his dry wit. He loved classical music, literature, and his cats, and was an avid fan of Boston sports teams.
